While the dusty blue is still quite pretty, it lacks the brilliant color payoff advertised.The sweeping maxi length is gorgeous on taller frames, but if you have shorter or petite legs, it runs significantly long. The hem hits well past the ankles and pools on the ground. To keep the delicate Swiss dot fabric from dragging, you will definitely need to style it with high block heels or wedges, or plan for a hem adjustment. This is a nice lightweight midi dress made of 100% polyester. It doesn’t look or feel like polyester. The Swiss dot material and the long puff sleeves with the shirring to match the smocked high waist, give the dress a vintage romantic feel and the material is soft.The high waist lends itself to a generous comfortable hip area. The neckline can worn straight across or the elasticized neckline can be pulled down upon the shoulders slightly. This dress is versatile and can be worn as a casual dress or can be worn more formally by adding jewelry or a scarf. As an added bonus, the dress has pockets. I'm always concerned about how the fabric will actually feel on items ordered online, especially with the ubiquitous polyester label. Turns out, I didn't need to be concerned, this is made from the sort of fabric I can get behind. It's not that thick, shiny stuff at all. The texture is lightweight, almost a crepe quality to it for lack of better description. It's going to be appropriate basically year round, except for the heat of high summer. This dress will shine for spring and fall wear, and during winter months would go well under a duster indoors. The style is very flattering, giving you a defined waist, yet hiding the belly. The neckline and sleeves give it a feminine soft look, and the midi length offers the ease of coverage in a twirl worthy and flowing silhouette. Add the subtle texture of the fabrics slightly raised "nubs" that remind me of tiny rosebuds -- albeit the same color as the fabric and incorporated into the weave. Just love the Swiss Dots! Very comfortable dress, forgiving, true to size, and can be worn casually or dressed up. So easy, one and done, and ready to go. No need for a slip, it's not flimsy or see thru, and the construction is great. No sloppy stitches or hem. I chose the blue color and it's true to the listing pictures.

I ordered this RWJ Women's Plus Size Fall Swiss Dot Square Neck "Maxi" Dress in Brown (really, a rusty orange) to wear this fall, but, unfortunately, even with following the size chart guidelines, the dress is too large for me. (It is too large in the bust, in the arms, and in the shoulders--my shoulders are broad for my size in general). The guidelines actually suggested one size up if they prefer a more comfortable fit, and I do, but I did not size up, and this is so big on me I can barely wear it (which, really, I am not surprised by, as I am often a medium, but the actual size guidelines put me on the upper limits for the large, which is what I purchased.All in all, the color and design of the dress look really nice and perfect for the Fall. The sleeves are a little short on me. The length is more midi vs. maxi (and I'm only 5'4.5".I suggest ordering your typical size vs. following the guidelines, I suppose.
